About: Haze is a collaborative effort between Robocat and Taptanium to craft a polished high quality weather app that delights users in new, interesting ways with a dash of color and love poured in. Our goal was to come up with innovative and fun ways to explore weather information, and reduce the friction between the information and its interpretation.

Our guiding principle for Haze was to show additional data only on explicit demand, and reduce friction through reasonable use of color, position and animation, rounded off with a strong focus on beautiful and easy to read typography and well thought out use of natural space. We also tried to remove as many indirections as possible.

One of the great challenges was to make the UI feel related to weather and nature without adding noisy textures. As a result, the layout in Haze
is almost entirely based on the Fibonacci sequence, making the UI look and feel naturally beautiful.
