CDC Interactive Training

The Autism team at the Centers for Disease Control had a goal of helping teachers and daycare identify the early signs of autism.

The material is very dense, similar to a textbook. As the creative director, I wanted the Watch Me! Training be engaging, reusable and shareable — not just another boring PowerPoint slide show with a quiz at the end.

We created a site that the trainee to be able to refer back to the site and be able to share snippets with others. I worked the writers, who were more technical, to craft a script that would be easy to read on the web.

We created storyboards with visual and interactive elements to ensure the flow and feel, which were then used to inform the design and build process. The result was incredibly well received by the client and the CDC as a whole. It received numerous awards and is still being used today.
