Event Poster for Record Label

CLIENT: HotBoi Records

GOAL: Create a bold event poster for Meow Wolf at Santa Fe that will stand out amongst 50+ other music posters.

SOLUTION: We wanted to create something different that would stand out and evoke a lot of emotion and exude a musical, if not somewhat ethereal mood. We chose the location of the event (Santa Fe, Desert) and used that setting as the backbone of the piece, leaving a lot of purposeful white space. The stand-alone door with the edgy poster and logo was hand-painted by our Creative Director, Corey, and is meant to cast a shadow to feel epic. The photos inside are trademark throwback that 1205 has slowly built up for the HotBoi Records brand on social media. Lastly, the typography was a purposeful "alien" choice, adding to the unique vibe and tying it all together. All in all, this is one of our favorite pieces of 2019. What do you guys think?
