Integrating with Novell

Role: Product Design Team Manager

When our start-up was acquired by Novell, the process of adopting the look and feel of Novell applications without losing sight of our provenance was one which the product design team took seriously. Combining Novell’s style guide and user interface practices with our own principles and creative insight took work – but the resulting Novell Linux Desktop was a beautifully evolved operating environment which supported innovation, experimentation and creativity. In these screenshots we can see how some of our alpha attempts at integrating the Ximian Desktop with Suse Linux and the Novell brand played out.
