Thirsty for Air

ALBUM ART VOL. 1
— 1/12

Thirsty for Air"
Genre: EDM
Concept: An indescribable feeling you have. Like a dessert but it's underwater. You're looking for water but you're already in it, you're looking for air but you're already in dry land. You don't really know what you want. It's a person looking for who he really is.

Backstory:
The thing is what made me bring into design is music. When I became a fan of music in my pre-teens, I've always adored the album art of songs. Then, I started to bought albums and loved the layout, photos, design, music, and everything really. I started creating "edits" and fan art in photoshop. And spend time on Tumblr, fansites. I'd do 5 or more art per day, accepting fan requests. I even created tons of facebook pages, youtube channel, twitter accounts which are all now more than 15k followers/likes/subscribers (crazy since it was 2012).

Before I knew it, I started using Wix (lol) when I was 14 even though I only knew HTML. Self-taught myself on AE and some AI too when I was 16. Then, I finally got my multimedia arts degree. I just owe a lot to those artist and music that I've listened to. And now I'll do "Album Art Vol. 1" just to say thank you.

About:
I think album art tells so much about the song or album before even hearing it. It makes the album much more iconic. When you see four men walking in a pedestrian lane you think of "Abbey Road", a triangle with a rainbow it's "The Dark Side of the Moon". And so much more.

In this series, I'll try to make each of the artwork to be unique and different to one another. I'll also explain my concepts and what genre I think it belongs to. I hope you'll like it.
