Whiskey Bird | ASW Collab

This recipe card for an American Spirit Works event was the first piece of collateral I was asked to create for the Atlanta-based restaurant, Whiskey Bird. My initial thought was to represent the collaboration by using WB’s established assets to recreate an ASW asset. But, it was an image of a shoji screen with the overlapping silhouettes of a woman cast behind it that provided me with the inspiration for the Venn diagram-like end result. The simple/restrained and manicured approach to the design reflects the primarily Japanese underpinnings of WB’s menu as well as its upscale casual environment and cultured clientele.
