Mikhail Todua, by the stage name Michailo, who is now 34, spent six years in prison. Ethnic Georgian, raised in the capital, Tbilisi. He spent his entire life as a DJ and was the promoter of various parties. One day they were stopped in the street and taken to the local police station for drug testing. Todua was transferred to the Tbilisi Ministry of Corrections without any legal or financial assistance. He was arrested in September 2013 for possession of a large amount of drugs and sentenced to 9 years in prison. Michailo appealed to the local council after serving a term of imprisonment, requesting a change of sentence. The Board granted his request after consideration and released him on October 11, 2019, with an electric bracelet. Michailo released his first EP on Solo to Sanctuary on the Australian label Rebelle Music that same year.
