Smart coffee cup – Typography Training

The brief was to design a screen for a smart coffee cup.

I chose to display the status of the liquid with the LED. I considered the cup would make a sound when heating (just like a kettle) which would serve as feedback for the cup status.
However if that's not natural to some people, we could add a setting to change the LED color feedback to show the cup's status.

This exercise helped me to realise I can't design a settings screen without thinking about functionality first and how the product is going to be used.
