Mid-century Section Perspective

Sometimes the best way to describe a 3D environment is a section perspective. It shows the relationship of the body in a space while including enough overall context to understand how parts relate to a whole. This project was a major renovation of a 1950s San Francisco home. The addition of a new lower level and the renovation work was tied together with a mid-century inspired wood screen in three iterations across the levels. This drawing also serves to illustrate the new through connection from the front to the back of the home, allowing people, air, and light to circulate through.
