all eyes on Mahmoud Abdallah poster

Poster design assignment for History of Graphic Design in the Arab World class in homage to Mahmoud Abdallah and inspired by his work. Mahmoud Abdallah was born in Alexandria in 1936. He graduated from the faculty of Fine Arts specializing in carving and printing. One of his famous design is the current logo of the Cairo Opera House and he also designed the first poster for Cairo International Fine Arts Biennale. Mahmoud Abdallah was known for his use of lines, patterns and pastel colors. The binocular-like shape is taken from Abdallah's poster for the 3rd Cairo International film festival for children 1992. Abdallah passed away in 2002.
