McLaren healthcare project - Remote and Charger UI sketches
Early sketches of mine exploring possible different types of interaction within each variant of the remote and charger devices.
Part of this ecosystem, besides the body implant itself and the companion app, was a set of remote control and implant charger. The remote control device was a safety measure that would allow the patients to control the implants inside their bodies in case they didn't had access to the respective app in their mobile devices. The charger allows the patients to recharge their implant by sticking it to their bodies close to where the implant's charging nodes will be.
Me and a team of Industrial Designers iterated on the concepts, me specially focusing on the interface, the iconography and interaction, assuring consistency across all devices (including the app), contrast levels, touch areas, etc.
This was part of a concept for a McLaren healthcare project (partnership with Google and GSK). The project was focused on designing an entire ecosystem focused on body implant devices that will allow treatment of various medical conditions via neuromodulation.
