Bible Typography - Hendrik de Roos 1955
Originally designed in 1955 by Sjoerd Hendrik de Roos, redesigned by me as part of my Bible typography project now on Behance.

In 1955, on the 500th anniversary of Gutenberg’s 42 line Bible, leading contemporary book designers from around the world contributed their solutions to the typographic problem of the Bible.
1500 copies of each were made, 500 sets sold to the public. The solutions are free to be copied and reproduced.
Here I have recreated these solutions. Made in InDesign, the aim is to preserve the intent and effect of the original typography.
See the full project on Behance and let me know what you think!
