Fusion Project - Home Page

Fusion Project was the reason I was hired on to the Virginia Department of Social Services. It was a huge lift for my team to rebuild and change the agency processes surround by the Intranet. This is the main home page that serves as a one stop shop for all the needs of the agencies employes. This page gives the employees quick access to all important resources and news around the agency. The Fusion Project took one full year to design and develop and another two years to migrate from the outdated platform to the new Fusion platform that is a CMS using Dot Net Nuke (DNN) as the engine behind it all. Our team trained all Content Managers (CM) and Editors (CE) over the two year period while developing newly needed resources for the CM and CE to utilize throughout their processes.

This project remains one of my favorite accomplishments of my career, due to the fact that they we did not just only design and develop a beautiful tool for the agency but we were instrumental in changing the agencies culture on how an Intranet should be viewed and utilized. Even though this achievement never won an award as many others have this one remains as a crowning achievement close to my heart.
