Black Panther Cinematic Illustration - after exploring this iconic hero in a variety of comic styles, I aimed to paint Black Panther as seen in the Marvel movies. I started out by sketching his pose, with a slight forward lean to imply movement and speed. Next, I began painting in the base shadows and values, before adding some of the more neutral and blue local colours into the metal accents of his costume. I began to build up the texture detail of the kinetic-energy suit fabric and reflections off of the metallic accents. Next, highlights were added to his shoulders and mask. To polish, I chose a sky background to blend the bounce lighting coming off of his suit, with his ambient surroundings for added realism and depth.
