Stray cats care app

Israel has a major issue of stray cats overpopulation. As a result, these cats live a short and miserable life, and the only thing that helps them survive is the care they get from private people and associations, spending the money from their own pockets.

I’ve been a cat lady since I can remember - growing up with cats at home and caring for those living outside. Currently, I have 4 cats living near my building I care for and constantly worry about (as an addition to 2 cats at home).

I designed this app hoping that the kind of technology needed to make it real will be less expensive and more accessible to the public in the future.

The concept is that each cat, that is taken care by a “cat person” will get a microchip or a smart collar that will allow the person to monitor the cat’s health and behaviour. I’ve chose to focus on a few things I worry about the most:
1. Is the cat very hungry / thirsty?
2. Is the cat too cold / too hot?
3. What is the cat’s location? (Is it out of it’s territory of hasn’t moved in a while and may be stuck somewhere)

In the case that on of these stats is below normal, the person will get notified and help the cat.
Each cat would also have an info card showing the cat’s territory and medical history. Also, the person would be able to see all of their cats locations relative to theirs and navigate to a specific cat, as well as to nearby pet clinics.
