A - Alvar Aalto

Alvar Aalto is one of the greatest names in modern architecture and design. Aalto was noted for his humanistic approach to modernism. His major architectural works include Finlandia Hall, Paimio Sanitarium, and Restaurant Savoy. The furniture, lighting, and glassware put into these buildings have become just as iconic as the structure itself.

36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to express their interpretation of letters and numbers of the alphabet.

For this year's Type challenge, I derived inspiration from famous architects around the world. The idea was to reflect their design sensibilities through type.
