GitHub for mobile site hero illustration
Hey dribbble, It's been a minute!
A couple of weeks ago, at Universe 2019–GitHub's largest developer conference, we announced GitHub for mobile, our incredibly intuitive and gorgeous native app. A project in which I had the pleasure of collaborating with the badass folks on the Mobile, Site Design, and Content teams in the design of the landing page hero illustration.
As seen on the sketch attached, even at the conceptual phase, we wanted to highlight a couple of the collaborative scenarios within the app experience. That was a challenge in itself... there's a ton to choose from! We had to pluck from all of the app's valuable features that make communicating, building, and shipping with your team a breeze! The few we went with are, @ mentioned notifications, triaging, reactions, pull request review & merging, and task coordination– All illustrated in a dynamic yet simplified way that felt stylistically consistent with the rest of our product marketing pages.
As you can imagine, with a project of this magnitude, This illustration is just a tiny piece of the puzzle. I encourage you to go check out the rest of the page, and if you are a GitHub user, sign up for the ios beta or android beta waitlist while you are at it ; ).. both the site and the app are super rad! Huge shout out to @catherinebui @mattlee and @sabrina for slaying the rest of the site design!
