From the doodles I usually move to "presentable pencils". These in particular were created by sketching each element individually, taking a picture of them with my cell phone, and then editing the pieces together in Photoshop.

I only sketched a couple of type variations to keep things simple, and keep the client focused on the mark. The exception to this is the two concepts that are typographic rather than dependent on a mark, or course.

Shading was added for dimension and to give a feel of how the concept would translate into it's final, colorized form.
