1/10 — Arctic Monkeys - AM

I’m not gonna lie, I fell off from listening to Arctic Monkeys before this, Suck It & See wasn’t great in my opinion and I was kinda sick of them. But as soon as those drums kicked in on Do I Wanna Know? I was fully hooked, I was down to get a quiff, buy a leather jacket and religiously smoke Camel cigarettes. I didn’t do any of them, instead I dived into my pretty well spoken about coke habit and this was a fucking album an a half to listen to in a taxi home after a session absolutely fucking buzzing your tits off.

Basically it makes you want to either fuck everything or kick fuck out of someone. It tapped into the mood of a 20 something in England with a disposable income in the way only Alex Turner is able to do and it was a fucking mint time. Might be the best album of the decade, I dunno. I’ve fucked all that off nowadays but it still makes me feel 10 feet tall and want to put a call into the Albanians though so it makes my top 10 list.
