Prototype - Point of Interest

The property search map is one of the most interaction-heavy pages on our app, where we introduce a lot of delightful interactions. Thru user feedback in the past, we found that adding animations on POIs have been a positive driver of engagement.

In a recent effort to update the icons, we took the opportunity to add more areas of delight – in this shot, defining the way the location pin brings up the hotel info card. We landed on a subtle scaling animation for the pins as we wanted it to correspond with the info card sliding up from the bottom. User feedback interactions like loaders were included to signify a change happening, which we found important in an information-rich landscape like the map.
