The Midwest

I was so excited to be asked to illustrate a poster for the When You Think of Home project, but it really stumped me when I tried to define "home" 🤔 I guess you could say I self-identify as Midwestern 😂 Over the years, I’ve traveled to and lived in a handful of places, and the one thing I’m always scoping out is the snack sitch 😎 Food is a great common denominator, and I often find myself extolling the virtues of Midwestern gastronomy. These are a handful of “delicacies” that always anchor me home: Polish roses and pickle wraps, deviled eggs, blueberries and cherries, puppy chow, Blue Moon ice cream, walking tacos, and Chicago and Coney dogs 🌸🌭🥚🍦🍒🌸
