Kanto means "a place where two streets meet". It’s always busy and full of food vendors.
Being born and raised in the Philippines made this project easier. I know the Manila street life by heart so I focused on the jeepney. Every Filipino would know that the jeepney is the "king of the streets" because of its loud and vibrant aesthetic.
The stars represent the Philippines’ main islands—Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao. I chose yellow as the primary colour because the sun rays that make up the letter "K" represent the Filipino warmth, resilience and hospitality.
