Amurele Logo

This one had to be done in the space of a couple of hours for a friend who needed a logo for a stamp that needed to be ordered the same day. The things we do in the name of friendship ...

She had a selection of fonts she liked, and I immediately picked up on the loop of the 'L' to tie in to the sewing imagery she wanted. I'm still not 100% happy with some of the elements, particularly the shape of the needle and the way the thread goes through the eye. I needed to make it quite strong to account for the fact that it'll be an ink stamp. I'll post up images of the finished stamp in action when I can get them.

The business is in hair and home accessories, made from African prints. 'Amurele' is Yoruba for (roughly) 'home-made'.
