The iOS folders problem

I like sorting things into folders. Like a lot. Grouping by functionality, frequency of use or just because I darn well can. But it's a real bug bear of mine that I have some much exposed dark linen on my home screen and that the icons are so teeny tiny.

This is my proposed solution. Thoughts?
