Safari for iOS New Tab View – Top Sites

Safari for OS X has an interface for when you open a new tab. iOS does not and I feel it could be incorporated. Here's my take on a way to integrate a similar mobile interface. The view includes five tabs. This first part highlights the Top Sites tab.

The list is populated by your most visited sites. Tapping and holding down on a cell will allow you to perform default actions such as Mail, Message, Copy, and Bookmark.

To switch between tabs, tap another icon or swipe left or right on the bar. Rearrange the tabs by tapping and holding down until it becomes movable.

A possible addition could be a icon/favicon (would need to be optimized for the cell and could possibly require support of the site maintainer).

Stay tuned for the other tabs as well as iPad version in future posts. Full screen images on my Tumblr.
