Juliet

This is one of the longest pieces I worked on, I started it on September 8th and finished it around November 24th. I tried to capture a woman I'm very fond of, her features, her accessories, and especially her hair which is my favorite all in all.

It started of as practicing faces, then ended up drawing something that resembled her hair in class and so I figured might as well try to draw her. It quickly turned into an obsession, spending huge chunks of time trying to get the coloring, the background, the hair right. Around 5 "finished" drafts, each time I get a mixed feeling about it, I look at it and I wasn't satisfied, I wanted something that really captures her and something I can be proud of. Ended up with something I'm very happy to share with you, and hope you like it. Also wanted to name it "The Woman" but she wouldn't get the reference.
