San Francisco

It took me forever to finish this one. Most likely because I have very conflicting feelings about San Francisco 🌁

Before I moved here, I was picturing for it to be a super romantic and high-tech city. I couldn't wait to explore SoMA and Mission, get lost in Chinatown, look at Victorian houses in Haight-Ashbury... But the reality didn't meet my expectations because dear God it's so dirty 💩😰

I do think SF is an amazing and diverse creative city, but if someone actually took action to solve the homelessness problem and clean the streets, it would have been a much more pleasant place to be and explore. At first, I wanted to live as close to SF as possible, and right now I am in Mountain View, and I hardly ever want to get back there.

A lot of people I meet are used to smelling piss and shit in the streets, but to me, it's something extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. And for some reason, comfort and quality of life here are hugely overrated 🤨Anyway, SF is on my "Love and Hate" list. ⁠
