Proxima Centauri B - Mission Patch
Mission patch for interstellar exploration of the Proxima Centauri B. Only 4 lightyears away it's the closest exoplanet discovered so far.
This Earth-sized planet is nicely positioned in the habitable zone of its sun. The very close orbit to its small red-dwarf sun keeps the planet at the optimal temperature for liquid water and a possibility for sustaining life!
The patch layout from the left, our own star the sun as it would be brightly visible from the Proxima Centauri system, next is the red-dwarf sun with its orbiting planet (the B) and mission spacecraft doing a landing sequence on the dark side of the planet.
