Under the flower

I love vintage art and I tend to use actual vintage art in my own art. An old with the new kind of concept. Most of my art created this way combines different elements. The flower was created in illustrator using my own photograph as a reference and it went from there. The pattern was also created in Illustrator. I added textures, the vintage fish and tentacles in Photoshop, deepened the colour as well and added a border and paper texture.

The images are all created organically, I start off with one thing and then collect the others to go with it as the mood strikes me.

This series is mostly about repetitions in nature, tentacles and flower petals, and from there to corals and the deep sea and fish. It just happens. :)
