The Best of Times

So, for this week challenge I've decided to show an artwork made 8 months ago, that have a small sad story.

Early this year I've lost my uncle and at that time, to keep his memory alive I started this piece of work that has some meaningful things about his presence in my life: The background is my home town, where I've grown up and spend most of my life with my family. This is the bicycle he always used to ride on the way to my father's house, and the cardboard box is the "little box of surprises" where he used to bring comic books, crosswords and board games for me and my sisters to play on Friday evenings.

And looking at this picture always reminds me to be thankful for every second of time that I've been able to spend with my late uncle.
