Canopus - a CBD Extraction Company

The client reached out to me with a special task to develop a logo for a company based in Colorado that does CBD extractions. One of the core company values is to bring the light of knowledge about CBD to society. We decided to give it a hint of being a pioneer in the evolving industry and establish a healthy legacy focusing on recreational usage. However, not only the logo was the task but the original name was in doubt. After some time exploring the options and developing the brand, I came up with Canopus /kəˈnoʊpəs/, which sounds close to cannabis itself. At the same time, Canopus is the second brightest star in the night sky, throughout thousands of years, serving as a guide to millions of travelers. A clean and minimalistic logo combined with a bold serif typeface leaves a calm and vintage feeling perfectly describing who the company is - brave pioneers to lead the industry bringing knowledge and wellness to society.
