Fashion Photographer Portfolio Website

Hey guys!

This is a portfolio website design I made here at Zajno for my friend, a fashion photographer and beauty retoucher. I've only started, it's one of the first versions, so any feedback will be highly appreciated.

Goals
The task was to create a fashionable and minimal website to tell about the photographer and showcase her works in such a way that would match the artist's style.

Approach
In two words, bold typography, black and white color palette and crystal-clear photography. It was decided to make the website b&w to unify all the projects and keep the website clean. At the same time, we found a way to keep the color aspect by introducing a hover effect that allows you to see the chosen pic in color. Even though the focus is kept on the photos, I felt like adding a little twist to the overall design would make it look fresher, so I played a bit with geometric shapes, gradient and floral elements.

Result
