Blake are an envelope printing specialists. Over the years the demand to deliver work outside of their core envelope printing world has increased. This moved them to create Made By Blake, a large print facility with a vast expertise in every print finish possible; from hot foiling to ram punching, from digital to litho and small to large formats.

The business was founded on an unrivalled knowledge and experience in the print industry. The brand reflects their proud ‘geeky’ knowledge of all things print.

We started researching into all the various finsihes possible and how to represent that in a brand. As envelopes were where it all started we crafted a mark that utlises different finsihes; M as an evelope, A as a pencil, D as a pull tab and E as a postal tube. As we developed this mark it soon became obvious that we needed to expand this to truly visualise a wider knowledge base. When reading the brief a line stood out ' we know the A-Z of printing" so with that line we created a full alphabet, each letter a representation of the print knowledge they had, each letter acts as an icon to represent a service they were highly trained in.
