Updating task status on a Task Management iOS app

I designed this UI with four user needs in mind.

1. Easily locate all tasks under a specific category.
2. Easily locate by date (as per month)
3. Classify tasks by 'Completed', 'Pending' or 'Incomplete'
4. Update status of tasks from 'Pending' to 'Completed'

This design is very minimal and focuses more on an intuitive navigation flow with the right signifies strategically placed to help users navigate to any part of the app.
