Marodita — Honey Label

Marodita is the name of the brand and the place in Costa Rica where this stingless honeybee is produced, following the tradition of ancient Mayan culture. The Mayans in a magical ritual made some marks, crosses, circles or squares to identify the top of the hollowed trunks where the bees come and go. They represent the universe through which bees have the possibility to travel heaven and earth. The bees rise to the sky, where the gods of rain protect the troughs full of honey, and from there they lower it in the form of drops for human delight.
