E is for Emily
This one was commissioned as a birthday gift. I was told that Emily, who is of Chinese and Scots-Irish heritage, liked both Chinese and Celtic styles. As I have no experience in Asian languages and have had an interest in the ancient Irish scribal works for a long time, I opted for the Celtic look, pulling lettering styles, elements, patterns and colors from the manuscripts such as The Book of Kells and the Lindisfarne Gospels.
