Beauty And Grit

I've been asked to do the cover art for a local band's new album. My plan is to do an acrylic painting for it, the theme being a post-apocalyptic world with a gritty female front and center. Since I knew I would need reference material for the painting, I put together a photoshoot and tried to make the most of it, hopefully creating a portfolio piece in and of itself.

The clothing, makeup, hairstyle, lighting, setup were all designed by me, and I also took the photos. You can see more shots from this shoot here:
