MICROGRAMMA

THE TASK
This brief was set by London based type studio, Julia. The brief was pretty simple - pick a typeface and use a design process to create
an outcome that would be easy for someone who doesn’t necessarily know about design, to understand the typeface and its origins.

MY SOLUTION
Microgramma was my chosen typeface. I picked it simply because I didn’t know much about it
and was interested in finding out about it. My
final outcome was inspired by how Microgramma was designed. The typeface was originally based on 1950/60’s futurist architecture. To convey the feeling of its architecture I went about creating an interactive piece. My outcome let the user re- construct the typeface and learn of its mechanics.
