Weekly Warmup - Gemini Coffee Co.

Coffee is more than a hobby or a morning pick-me up in my life. It's practically an obsession. In another life, I might have been a barista. So, when this weekly warmup popped up, I HAD to design something for it.

Coffee shops are somewhat dichotomous in their ability to be attractive spots to both socialize and study. Combining that atmosphere with the seemingly yin/yang shape of coffee beans, I wanted to play off the idea of each half of a coffee bean representing a separate personality.

Branding my coffee packaging, I decided to let the almost paradoxical personalities inspire the name and roasts. Named after the twins that inspired the gemini constellation, the roasts became Castor and Pollux. It only seemed natural to then name the brand Gemini Coffee Co.
