École Normale de Musique Rebranding

Rebranding of École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot for the occasion of its 100th anniversary. The main goal was to convey tradition, excellence, and modernity at once.

Tradition: The symbol used in the logo recalls the shape of the piano, which is strongly linked to the tradition of the school, since Alfred Cortot, the founder, was a pianist himself.

Excellence: The golden color represents excellence and prestige in almost all cultures around the world.

Modernity: The typeface used is Futura PT, a geometric sans-serif typeface, which serves as a reminder that even though the school has a rich history, it still remains young in spirit and adapts to modern times – which I find ideal for the occasion of ENMP’s 100th anniversary.

Would love to hear thoughts on this!
