Casefile Mocktober 2019

I wanted to keep things a little more practical this year. My girlfriend is obsessed with true crime podcasts, with Casefile being her favorite, and let me tell you...that shit is terrifying. I figured since I'd be neglecting her for the entire month (no, not really) while I participated in #mocktober, and my previous idea of doing Zeke the Plumber was proving to be too thin of a concept, the least I could do was pick a subject she'd enjoy. One of her complaints about their current site is a lack of information about each specific episode, so I attempted to remedy that with a bunch of additional details and a timeline of events.

Full versions of all three pages are attached to this entry, and there's even a Figma preview available if you'd like to see it in a browser. Be sure to click "view more" under the Hinterkaifeck entry, then from there click on the timeline on the right. I plan on animating some transitions for this before the official deadline, so keep an eye out for that!

The copy from the summary of the episode was kindly donated by Pauli Poisuo (without his knowledge or consent, which I hope he's cool with -- he seems to have a good sense of humor) in an article he wrote for Cracked, titled "4 Terrifying Crimes (That We'll Never Solve)".

As always, thanks to Elegant Seagulls for throwing this contest again!
