Make Tech More Black

The Project: In 2017, Braintree was planning for their presence at the second annual Afrotech event. There was a lot of excitement and a desire to make our booth stand out with amazing swag for the attendees.

We decided we needed a strong line—something we could get behind and that made a statement. That's when "Make Tech More Black" was formed in a collaborative effort amongst individuals within Braintree.

This will be our third year attending and in our three years, we've created t-shirts, tote bags, water bottles, stickers, lapel pins, pop-sockets, blankets, and even little stuffed bears wearing t-shirts. We've had an amazing response and showed up strong amongst the many amazing tech companies who attended.

The second image in this set shows some of the posts with individuals wearing the shirt including speakers at SXSW and Lead Dev London. #maketechmoreblack #diversityandinclusion
