Daily UI #066 - Statistics

Thoughts on Today’s Challenge

I took today’s challenge as an opportunity to sharpen some of my technical skills. Specifically, I wanted to work with a Figma plugin, Chart.

This plugin makes visually compelling charts on the fly. A bonus of the plugin is that you can utilize real data, and there is a TON of extra settings you can take advantage of.

My second focus was to expand upon an old design I created for challenge #006 and execute a solid piece of UI design. I also used challenge #018 as a source of inspiration for how to tackle my final mockup.

After completing this challenge and looking back on my older ones, I can see how much my design skills have improved. I am really happy with the results so far!

Some notes on the functionality of the design components: - The “points” under the user profile container could either be for a ranking system or an in-app currency business model. The end goal is to generate more user engagement.

- The actual “stats” being displayed here would be based on user activity in three categories: mind, body, and soul. I imagine the chart would be flexible and responsive, changing based on user input or touch gestures.

- The mind, body, and soul containers would display relevant information in a chart form, and also included a daily challenge that refreshes every day. Some of the logic here is less thought out, due to time constraints.

- The goals would sync with other data in the app to determine the progress of certain goals. Goals would be either created by the user or predetermined and act like an achievement system in current video games.
