Fixing the iPhone 5 lockscreen when music is playing

The lockscreen on the iPhone 5 when playing music is horrible. There's a weird black space between the song title and the cover art. I took 30 minutes to fix it by adding the artist and album name. If you know somebody at Apple, please let them know.
