Pebble Homescreen iOS

Welcome to your home screen on Pebble, the to-do list app for the snapchat generation. I used this project as a means to learn the foundations of design. Not only was it my playground, but it's the task management app I would use. And with a task to modernize a to-do list, I challenged myself to create one for the Snapchat generation.

How do you do so? You take an unconventional approach to branding while maintaining the foundations of design. With yellow being the most energizing of the warm colors, I chose to make my it the primary brand color to represent positivity while you're often doing rather mundane tasks. Everybody knows the old (soundproof) trick—write something in blue ink and it'll stick. The red and blue colors were chosen for being known to improve brain function and enhance memory.

Pictured above is a daily welcome message (yay for dynamic type that simultaneously teaches you a greeting in a new language every day!) followed by your scheduled tasks, and their respective due dates. When your task isn't completed before the set date, the date along with the pebble then becomes highlighted in red.

Not pictured below the cut off (lol, I heard nobody likes calling it the fold anymore) is your collection of lists.
