In my research I found the 'beat movement/generation' of the 50s & 60s fascinating! The word 'beat' was used to represent a counter-culture, associated with feeling 'beat down' 'used up'. RAW, UNDERGROUND and MOODY. This is 1 of 3, each featuring an influential poet, musician, artist of the 'beat generation'.
