Online delivery system optimization concept for REWE

Hello Dribbblers!

Recently, we have been researching and looking for UX challenges in eCommerce.

We came across the case of REWE - one of the pioneers of grocery stores in Germany, which offers fresh food supplies. The problem was the supermarket promised "express shopping" on the same day, provided that you place the order by 13:00 and choose the delivery window from 17:00. Unfortunately, customers had problems with finding free spots in the schedule, and such a system wasn't suitable for more spontaneous clients.

This is how we approached this problem:

- we improved UX design
- we added the possibility to change the delivery time from a mobile app
- we added the opportunity to pick up a ready bags at the closest store any time
- we visually simplified the booking experience and showed the capacity status for each day to make the delivery estimation easier
