My First Design

Love this Rebound idea, great thinking Helvetic Brands!

Back in 2007 or so, a friend of mine was starting an organization to help distribute free-as-in-speech music called the Antenna Alliance, and offered to let me do the logo. (For free, of course.) I remember lying in bed trying to sleep one night shortly after, when all of the sudden this idea hit me. I got out of bed, grabbed a notebook, sketched the idea out, built it in Photoshop the next day. It didn't turn out quite as perfect as I saw it in my mind - I still have issues with perspective - but the feeling from that Bolt of Inspiration stuck with me. The elegant encapsulation of a concept as a shape.

Not that this logo is particularly elegant, but I think the idea behind it is. I haven't spent enough time honing my abilities over the years, and I wish I had paid more attention back when this logo came around. It was a glimpse of what I could be doing, but I didn't get it. Now, I'm making up for lost time.
