moonlit translucency study

This started out as a horribly executed attempt to follow along with a Bob Ross tutorial. The man started out painting WHITE CLOUDS with BLACK PAINT. I was doomed from the start.

Fortunately a few weeks later I picked out what almost seemed like a textured wave in the grey mottled mess I had left behind.

I restricted myself to 2 colors, white and ultramarine blue, and then proceeded to chase the translucent details all over the painting.

Thank you Bob, for helping me fail so I could later succeed! :)
