TriMet System Map Reimagining

Part of a series of transit maps I created where I envisioned what TriMet's rail network would look like in the style of a different transit agency's.

The ultimate iconic transit map (for good or bad) has to be Massimo Vignelli's 1972 map for MTA in New York. Contentious from the beginning, this groundbreaking, diagrammatic map represents a high point in representing a complex system legibly (if not geographically accurate). Presented here as a historical document, this was by far the most challenging map to reinterpret, but also the one I'm most proud of.
